Skills & Accomplishments
DIRECTOR
January 2021 - September 2021
I directed my debut short film, "The Unwritten Path," which received a prestigious nomination as a finalist in the esteemed My Mind On Film competition. Renowned industry professionals Tengku Iman Abdullah, Edward Lim, and Dr. Andrew Mohanraj, served as distinguished judges for the competition and recognized the film's artistic merit and creative vision.
"The Unwritten Path" showcases my talent for storytelling and my ability to bring compelling narratives to life through meticulous direction and a keen eye for visual aesthetics. Its nomination in the highly regarded My Mind On Film competition highlights the impact of the film and underscores my commitment to excellence in filmmaking.
ASWARA STUDENT
September 2021 - September 2024
I enrolled at ASWARA, an esteemed art college in Malaysia, driven by my passion for filmmaking and creating visually stunning narratives. Through dedication and creativity, I achieved remarkable success, winning multiple awards and being recognized as the best creative mind in the college. I strive for perfection, delivering impactful cinematic experiences that push boundaries. Equipped with ASWARA's foundation, accolades, and a unique artistic perspective, I am ready to make a significant impact in the world of cinema.
GAFFER
October 2022 - March 2022
I learned a lot from YouTube and observing industry professionals set up lighting. After my debut in GSC filmmaking, I hired experienced people to learn from their techniques. I used my skills to assist my seniors, joined projects, and offered free services as a gaffer. It has been successful, but I know there is always more to learn. I'm eager to expand my knowledge further.
DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY
11 October 2021 - October 2022
I attended a costly steadicam workshop, but fortunately, I got it for free through my college program. I've been learning extensively about operating the camera and understanding the director's vision for each shot. I use platforms like Shotdeck or Eyecandy as references to enhance my skills and create my own unique vision. I'm eager to continue learning and gain more experience in this field.
QUOTES
A director is the captain of the ship; he gets the vision of the film much before anyone else can. While I want to experiment with characters, I know a good director means I am in safe hands.
